| Summary: |
An innovative decision support tool based on an up-to date GIS database will be built and implemented, inlcuding the monitoring of environmental, ecological a social variables. A pilot-scale demonstrative program for flow supplementation will be implemented to show the efficiency of DST. This will contribute not only to the above mentioned DST, but will help us to reach the goal of sustainable water and land-use (in a transboundary river basin and wetland), which is a European priority (Water Framework Directive). The unique European dimension of the proposal is that the decision support tool and the action programme created during the system development phase will offer possible solutions for many other European regions that encounter similar problems. |
