Geonardo Environmental Technologies Ltd. is now seeking an ambitious and talented Project Manager, who has passion for the development of new EU-funded projects and the management of on-going ones in the field of geothermal energy and other renewable energy sources.
Geonardo is an environmental engineering and consultancy firm based in Budapest, Hungary. A small and medium-sized enterprise (SME), Geonardo provides technical consulting services specialised in renewable energy sources (RES) applications, primarily geothermal energy, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) applications and natural resources management.

The Project Manager will work closely with the CEO of Geonardo Ltd. on the Geothermal Communities (GEOCOM) project co-financed under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) of the EU (www.geothermalcommunities.eu).
The Geothermal Communities (GEOCOM) project aims to demonstrate the best available technologies in the use of geothermal energy combined with innovative energy-efficiency measures and integration of other renewable energy sources in three pilot sites (Hungary, Slovakia and Italy).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing EC projects of Geonardo in the field of geothermal energy (coordination of investment projects and a network building project from the scientific, technical and administrative aspects);
- Developing competitive project proposals and/or tenders under various EC programmes (mainly FP7 and IEE).
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Master's degree in an environmental engineering / earth science field;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
- At least three years of professional experience in research or industry;
- Proven experience in the management of environmental projects in an international environment;
- Flexible and teamwork oriented personality.
Desirable Experience and Competences
- Specialisation on renewable energy sources;
- Direct experience in developing and managing FP6 / FP7 and/or LIFE III / LIFE+ and/or IEE and/or Leonardo da Vinci projects;
- Knowledge of Hungarian (intermediate).
Duration of the contract This is a full-time, 2-year appointment with a possibility of prolongation or turning into a permanent contract on a full- or part-time basis depending on the running projects.
Starting date of the contract October 2011 Probationary period: 3 months
